Obituary of Julia Kathryn Gorosave
Julia Kathryn Gorosave, known to many of her loved ones as "Judy K.," was born on May 8, 1949, in Monroe, Louisiana to the proud parents J.B. and Martha Ryals. She peacefully departed this world on August 11, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona, after a week and a half of being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and grand-doggy.
Julia’s journey through life took her from Louisiana, to Texas, Arizona, and California. She eventually settled in Tucson, Arizona, where she married Arthur Gorosave, and together they raised four children.
In her professional life, she spent over two decades working as a dedicated bookkeeper for the Sunnyside School District, where she made many lifelong friends before she retired.
Julia had a passion for creativity. She loved quilting, sewing, and all things craft-related. While cooking might not have been her favorite pastime, she used her artistic spirit to create stunning cakes for her children as they grew, and even crafted intricate confections for weddings and baby showers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Gorosave, and their four children, John, Lorin, Lisa, and Grant. She also leaves behind a legacy of five adoring grandchildren: J.J., Steven, Gabby, Parker, and Phoebe.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Martha Ryals, as well as her three beloved siblings, Karen, Ken, and Janice Ryals.
Julia Kathryn Gorosave's legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her boundless creativity, her dedication to her work, and, above all, her beautiful smile and infectious laugh that illuminated the lives of those who had the honor of sharing in her journey.
