Obituary of John Michael Slaby

John Michael Slaby, aged 51, pulled chocks on April 28^th 2023 after a valiant battle with Glioblastoma, with his family by his side.  He was born Sept 1^st 1971, in Tucson Az. As a member of the Arizona Air National Guard for more than 30 years,  MSgt Slaby took pride in his career with the 162^nd Wing as a Crew Chief and most recently a Flight Chief.  He thoroughly enjoyed “the smell of jet fuel in the morning”. His favorite time of the day was sunrise and we will miss his early morning pictures of the sun beams coming through the clouds. John was an avid cyclist and also loved nothing more than jumping on his Harley to clear his head. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.  John leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth, his parents John and Sue (Frances). Children, Cameron & his wife Stephanie, Carley and Garrett.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lila, Indy and baby Waylon, who arrives in August with Papa making sure he gets here safely.
