Bryan Eugene Holben

64, a devoted husband, son, brother, and friend passed away on August 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Muriel Holben. Bryan was born in Denver, CO and spent the last 60 years in Tucson. Bryan worked as a structural engineer with his father in the family business. He was a true outdoorsman and loved hiking, biking, fishing, scuba diving, sky diving, boogie boarding, skiing, mountain climbing, rock climbing and camping. He even took to combining these sports and was a triathlete. There wasn’t an outdoor activity he didn’t enjoy. Equal to his love for the outdoors, Bryan was an avid dog lover and he went out of his way to play with every dog he met. Bryan was survived by his wife Sheila, father Randy Holben, sister and brother in-law Linda and Michael Tumellie, brother Steve Holben, nephew Scott Tumellie, niece and her family, Jennifer, Chris, Cooper and Cadence Crawford. Bryan’s quick wit and passion for his family will be missed beyond measure. We love you so very much Bryan!

A touching note Bryan wrote for Sheila’s mother sums up how we all feel about him as well.

“Celebrate a Life Well Lived”

“An example certainly to me and should be for the rest of us. We should all hope to accomplish this journey of life with half the success.

Feel a little bit cheated? The Earth should shake and the sky should weep at his passing. This occasion should be momentous! And it is for the people who loved him.

He is not gone, look around and see that he is still here; in his wife, father, siblings, family, and the people he touched throughout his life.

A legacy to be proud of and that can only be accomplished by extraordinary people.

Life must go on for his loved ones. He would have wanted it that way. While it was time for him to go, he would insist that his loved ones live as he did, to the fullest!!!”

Celebrate Bryan every time you see a beautiful sunset, hike a challenging trail, catch a fish, play with your dog or walk on the beach.
