I was very saddened to learn of Bryan’s passing. I met him through my grandfather and his dads friendship when they came to Wyoming in the summer to go camping and fishing. This became an annual tradition to which I still try to hold onto when the distractions of adulthood allow. My love of hiking and fishing was heavily influenced by him. To this day when I camp I look for satellites at night, something we used to do while having fireside banter. I am sad that we had sort of lost touch over the years as I moved into adulthood but I will forever cherish the great times we had in the mountains of Wyoming.

Words can’t express the lose I feel with Bryan Holben. We were on several major projects together and way back in 93’ that’s how I first met Bryan. Invited him to a local sprint car race and he was an instant race car fan. We went to a bunch of races in Arizona together. Great memories and lots of laughs and serious talks. When I was a low spot in my life and moving to Kansas, Bryan volunteered to drive over there with me and my dog. I never came to Tucson, since then, that I didn’t go hang out with my best buddy. Rest In Peace my friend. You truly were a class act and liked by all.

My best friend since Jr High …. The crazy things we did …. For over 50 yrs I kept in touch with Bryan and our friendship never missed a beat. He was a fun guy and had a smile and laugh that was contagious…
We were planning to go shooting and go look for our old hunting grounds later this yr.
His last text a week before his passing was “.. sitting watching the rain roll in - I need to go buy a pistol ( random Bryan ) and we need to get together soon”
My heart will hurt until we get to hang out in heaven and do crazy things that - thank god - his mom and dad never found out about.
Oh ya, he had a wicked ping pong serve as we used to play for hours until High School got in the way.
Until next time brother …. Will miss you until then.

Glenn, I’m glad you two stayed in touch. My condolences to you on the loss of a good friend. I’m saddened by Bryan’s passing, and how life got in the way of keeping in touch with him. I pray for peace and condolences for his entire family, that meant so much to him. His friendship from Jr High to college helped me get through some rough times. He will live on in our hearts. RIP Bryan.
