Obituary of Madelon Ann Bryant
Madelon Ann Bryant (Nann) passed away at her home on July 29, 2021, at the age of 91, spending her last days in the company of her daughters Karen Carrier (Portland, OR), Linda Vlamakis (Oro Valley), and Laura Rouse (Punta Gorda, FL). She was assisted in following the light by loving friends and caregivers making her transition peaceful and meaningful.
Nann forged deep friendships with many and adored deep one-on-one conversations. She was a rare, good listener, always putting others troubles first in mind and rarely complaining of her own. Her friends tended to be young and drawn to her own young spirit, her irreverent sense of humor, and her sincere interest in their lives. Nann cherished her home, and her life was a small circle of intense bonds made in beautiful surroundings. She had a keen eye for style and carried herself with grace.
Many of us will continue to reach for the phone expecting her endless wisdom to answer. We will come to accept that she has returned to God who became her guiding force later in life.
She was Midwest born (Bloomington, IN) and raised (LaGrange, IL) but called Oro Valley home after 30 years. She was a grandmother to 7 and great grandmother to 2. Her adoring husband James Bryant preceded her in death in 2004.
Her cremains will be laid to rest at Bronswood Cemetery in Oakbrook, IL. Her favorite charity was Salvation Army of Tucson, to which any remembrance would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
