Obituary of William Russell Nyman
William Russell Nyman (Russ) born 10/19/1983 in Waterloo, Iowa. He passed away on 11/17/2020 at Tucson Medical Center. Russ was caring, selfless, hilarious, kind, and full of life. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandson, uncle, and a great friend to many. He was funny, inspirational, the life of the party and above all he had a very tender soul. Russ, an Estimator and Superintendent at Concord General Contracting, was active in the Southern Arizona Construction Market and enjoyed the challenge of building complex structures. His favorite projects were University of Arizona Hillenbrand Stadium, Terry Francona Hitting Facility at Hi Corbett and the TCC AHL Hockey Arena Improvements. The final project was his “Ultimate” Staycation backyard.
Russ made you feel loved and important. Be sure to share that feeling with others as you go through your day. Russ will always be “Living the Dream” and wearing his “Flip Flops” in Heaven.
He is survived by his wife, Vanessa and their three children; Peyton, Jaiana, and Isaiah; his parents, John and Vicki Nyman; his brother, J.V. Nyman and wife Jennifer (Cyndall and Johnny); his sister, Leslie Potter (Addison and Jackson; his Grandmothers, Yvonne Nyman, and Jeanette Dreyer; and his extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jack C. Nyman, and Victor L. Dreyer.

Dear Family, Friends, Subcontractors, Owners, Architects, and other Vendors:
This is our personal thank you for the monies, personal calls and time you have taken to share your stories and memories of Russ. We know he will live on thru his wife and children. He will live on in the building projects he has completed during his lifetime. Above all, he will live on in our hearts and actions. We hope to have a celebration of life when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. With God’s help, grieving will become memory building and storytelling. Sadness will become joyful renditions of Russ and his loud voice telling it like it is. Walking on the earth we will be thinking of Russ in his flipflops “Living the Dream.”
Love to All,
Vanessa Nyman, Isaiah, Jaiana, and Peyton
