Obituary of Daniel Phillip Walter

Daniel Phillip Walter was born February 28, 1949 in Marshall, MI to Phillip and June Walter. He passed October 17, 2020 at Northwest Hospital in Tucson, AZ from lung cancer. He was a proud eagle scout and graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Automotive Engineering. He spent his career building emissions testing stations and establishing their programs all over the country. He and his wife Elaine were married September 10, 1983 in Phoenix, AZ. Dan was an avid classic car collector and spent many hours working on his cars. He enjoyed traveling and loved Zion National Park and Hawaii. He is survived by his wife Elaine, son Alan, daughter Cara Rickard, son-in-law Cody Rickard, sister Connie Howes, brother-in-law Dennis Howes, nephews Scott and Andrew Howes and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at noon at the Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
