Dear Carl, Rick, Tom, Debbie, Lori, Kim and entire family,
Words can not describe the loss you all are enduring at this time. We know what a tight knit family you are. Losing the matriarch of the family is life changing and heart breaking. Lola spirit is a treasure we will always hold near and dear hearts. Jerry grew up down the road on Park Ave and has many memories of Lola and Carl racing at the many race car tracks in the area. He still to this day tells us of different racing events he remembers of Carl and Lola. It was always fun to gather with the Trimmer family at the races and banquets. Lola sure was the #74's biggest fan! Lola was a classy, spicy, fun loving woman and was a wonderful example to all she knew. Our family was privileged to have been taken under the wings of Lola and Carl as were were invited for the last 20+ years to their special Christmas eve gathering to celebrate at their home on Oklahoma Street. Thank you for that! It meant the World to our family. We will miss the hug and kiss on the cheek from the red lipstick that Lola always wore along with the fancy long red fingernails, her signature. Oh what laughter and great times there and the many Thanksgivings we celebrated down in Rocky Point at Rick and Lila's beach houses. We'd travel in a caravan down and back, sit around a bonfire nightly, swim in the Sea of Cortez, look for sand dollars, play cards, fly kites, eat fresh seafood and just celebrate fun with the entire family. Our memories books are filled with those pictures of the endless memories of Lola and her family. Thank you for letting us be a part of knowing and loving Lola Trimmer. She was such a special woman in so many ways.I learned to make green corn and red chili tamales in Lola's kitchen and we will never forget how superb hers were. I have made red chili tamales several times since and they just don't compare to hers. Lola was so full of wisdom, honesty and caring. We will all miss her and pray for all our grieving we are feeling and the loss of a remarkable soul. One day we will meet again behind heavens pearly gates and get to embrace Lola once again. Hopefully she will have dozens for her fine tamales for us to indulge in. We look forward to meeting her in paradise and making more memories that we can continue to put in our treasure chest and in our hearts. God bless the entire family and all the fans and friends who dearly loved and cherished Lola. Rest in peace, Lola.
With love, thoughts and prayers from Jerry, Amy, Luke, Clay and Sara Warner
