Obituary of Jean Ann Mattias

Jean Ann Mattias R.D.: 70, of Tucson Az. Passed away on July 19, 2019 due to complications from surgery. She was born on October 25, 1948 to Eugene and Marian Seitz of Yuma Az. Jean Ann attended Arizona State University and received her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics and a Masters Degree. Jean Ann Mattias worked as a Dietician for 35 years starting in Scottsdale AZ, moving to Kayenta, AZ working in Window Rock AZ and rounding out her career in Sells AZ for 26 years until she retired in 2003 to Tucson, AZ. Jean Ann married Thomas Towne and from this union had Christopher Towne and Kathleen Towne. They divorced, but Jean Ann again found love and married Carl Mattias Sr. and through that union she had two more boys; Matthew Mattias, and Woodrow Mattias. Jean Ann is survived by her 4 loving children and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Father, Eugene Seitz, Mother, Marian Seitz, and Spouse, Carl Mattias Sr. Celebration of Life will be held on Monday August 5, 2019, 10:00 am at the Adair Funeral Homes Inc., Avalon Chapel, Oro Valley, AZ.
