To the Baker Family WE are truly sorry to hear about the passing of Rupert Baker Jr. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends during this hour of great sadness. It is clear that Rupert was loved and respect by many. I liked the expression that was stated that He was gone and not forgotten. With that statement, we come to know that Rupert had traits that drew others to him. Yes we looked for ways or for reason to be around him. No He was not perfect; none of are. However others saw the good qualities that he put on display on a daily basis. If we as imperfect human can see these traits; God can also. He remembers the many acts of kindness that we have displayed to others are He rewards us. So we should not be surprised that God goes one to make this promise to many who have fallen asleep in death. The promise states that God would soon call to those in the grave, and that our love ones would hear His voice and stand up in life again. ( John 5:28-29) To the Rupert family, God want you and the friends of the family to draw comfort from this loving promise. From this promise God is giving us His personal guarantee that Rupert, and billions of others will have their lives restored back to them. That Rupert would be reunited back with his many family and friends. Would you not agree that this is a wonderful promise for all to hear and read about. Then to help all to develop strong faith in this promise, God has preserved nine touching accounts that speaks about the resurrection hope that will take place earth wide. Here is just one such example that is recorded at John 11:32-44. I hope that the family and friends will get the chance to see how the verses applies to Rupert, and a great host of other who await this touching arrangement from God. So as was stated in one of the above obituaries, Rupert will be gone for a little why. But He is not forgotten. As we remember him, God also has Rupert in His memory. There He wait for God calling to stand back up in life again. Yes we have God's personal promise. Yes it is impossible for God to lie. ( Titus 1:2)
