I send you my deepest condolences for you and for your family. I can’t even begin to imagine how painful this is for you all. May Jehovah God provide you the strength you need to cope with this difficult situation. The Bible provides hope that you will be reunited with your loved one at Acts 24:15, which states, "there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." I hope this message provides some comfort to friends and family, and I again offer my sincere condolences.

In the 1950's I meet Vicki, (Dennis' little sister) while we both were attending Encinita Elementary School in Rosemead, California. Vicki and I became fast friends and had lots of sleepovers at each others house. During one of those sleepovers, when Vicki was living on Guess Street I met her big brother Dennis. Vicki eventually moved in with my family around 1962-1963 and became my foster sister. When I was 15 years old Dennis became my first real boyfriend, therefore he spent a lot of time visiting his sister and me at my parents house in Rosemead. Dennis loved to cook. One time when he came over to my parents house he decided he wanted to bake a cake. While using the mixer he caught his "middle" finger in the beaters. My Mother was very concerned and thought he should see a doctor. Mom called the local hospital and the Nurse recommended she bring him in to the emergency room. When Mom arrivered at the emergency room with this very tall over 6 foot man the Nurse told Mom "when I talked to you on the phone I thought you were bringing in a small boy"! (Mom loved to tell this story about Dennis. My Mother and my family absolutely adored Dennis)! As the years passed by and our lives moved into different directions, Vicki, Dennis and myself always kept in touch. When Moose was a truck driver for Shell Oil and was going to be in my area, he would call me and say "put on a pot of coffee I'm coming over for a visit". We enjoyed those "catching up" visits and Dennis' puns. I am so glad I recently had the opportunity to have longer and more often visits with Moose. I will cherish all the times we had together forever! Dennis had his own unique sense of humor, espcially his puns! He could tell a joke, say one of his famous puns or just be a wise guy to get us to laugh. His favorite thing would be (with a straight face) to make a pun and wait for Vicki and I to get "His" pun-line. We will miss his puns a lot! His sister Vicki was so very special to him and he adored her a lot. They were extremely close. We all have many fond memories of Moose and he will be in our hearts forever. He was a gentle, kind, caring, special and unique Man. He will be missed by his sister, her family, Mac's family, Dennis' sons, their families, friends and me, who became his sister by another Mother. Thank you Phyllis for all the wonderful love and caregiving you gave to Dennis. He really appreciated it and most of all He really enjoyed your TLC! We know you loved each other very much! I love you and miss you Moose, your sister from another Mother, Charlotte

I am his “baby girl”, his little sister. I had two older brothers. Mac was first born, he passed away several years ago. Dennis came 5 years later and I was born 5 years after that. Denny then and “Moose” now, is my bro, my friend, my confidante. Different Dad’s but closer than ever. My girls and their families adore their Uncle Moose and my youngest granddaughter couldn’t wait to see him again. Sadly, we don’t have the opportunity in this life. But see him, we will, in time. He has two other nieces who miss him as well, Sue and Beth, his brothers girls. And numerous family and friends in New York and Michigan. And his “sister” Char...an almost life long friend. My heart aches for his sons and their families. Moose was so proud of them. I pray for us all to hold his memory close. I pray for Phyllis who stayed by my bro’s side and gave all she had to him. I am grateful for the time I had Moose in my life, and he will be forever in my heart
