John chapter 11 verse 25 says, ''I am the resurrection and life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.'' Have faith in Jesus and see Brian Ashby come to life in God's kingdom. The Bible and the website jw.org will help in the exercising of faith.

Revelation chapter 20 verse 6 tells us happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over them the second death has no authority. Yes, there will be a resurrection of the dead. Brian Ashby will be brought back to life in God's kingdom. The Bible and the website jw.org will guide us toward that hope.

Even though I only knew you for the last 7 weeks of your life, your light shined through and I knew I had met a very special person. Your honesty, genuineness, and zest for life was so apparent and I am so happy to have met you and spent the short amount of time together. It was heartwarming to see all the people who loved you and held you dear get together to celebrate your life. You were such a special person Brian and will be missed. RIP

I am PROUD to say that Brian was & always be "My best friend" and he will be sorely missed. Having shared over 46 years of friendship and brotherhood, saying I'm at a loss is an understatement. So many fond memories of our times together from escaping Des Moines in 1974, living on the mountain in Ben Lomond, rocking out to the many concerts we attended, laughing, reminiscing, arguing, singing Desperado in the hot tub for all the neighbors to hear (and applaud) and most of all being brothers for life. A sign of a best friend is one who will never let you down, one who ALWAYS has your back, and one who you could always turn to for support. Brian Ashby was that man for me and many close friends. I will miss you forever Ash.

My sincere condolences go out to Brian’s Family and friends. Brian and I met in 1971. We were roommates after high school and we remained good friends until his untimely death. We were like brothers. I visited him in Tucson last year for another of the countless concerts we attended together over the years. Most recently, I travelled to Tucson again this month for a memorial tribute to another dear friend from high school. I will never forget our times together, the good ones and the bad. I will miss him dearly.

My DEAR Sawmill Buddy and Lifelong Friend, Thank You for all the unique Personal Mountain Memories that we shared together. Our times alone at the Sawmill were priceless cutting "Green Logs" while the rest of the crew was in the woods 'Poaching' a second a third load. Our Lunchtime excursions together to the Ski Lodge to squeeze in a few runs before returning to the Mill to finish off our work day was very special indeed. Thank you for turning on the Saw while I was laying in the Sawdust Pit and trying to saw me in half. (LOL) By the way---Thank you again for teaching me to ski. It added a whole new dimension to my life and so much joy. My favorite ski days were always the ones I shared with you. Whether on the Mountain or in New Mexico. Thank you for making time to visit me on the East Coast in DC and Maryland. The late night drinking fests at the Dubliner Bar and elsewhere cannot be duplicated. I don't know what I will do with you gone but I am extremely grateful to have been able to know and Love You for nearly 40 years. 'Walka Here'!!!
