OBITUARY for Wendell Heckele

Wendell passed away peacefully in the presence of his wife Erna and their son Mark on February 14, 2024, at his home in Tucson, Arizona, after battling Metastatic Melanoma.  He worked and retired in 2009 from Raytheon Missile Division after 26 years of service as a Mechanical Engineer.

Wendell is survived by his wife Erna, being married for 57 years, his two children, Brigitte Morrill (Jason), Mark Heckele (Kate), and four very young and precious grandchildren, Keegan, Kaden, Killian, and Kora.   He is also survived by both of his sisters Mary and Barbara Matijevic, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10 a.m., at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on 5150 N. Valley View Road, Tucson, Arizona 85718, phone: 520-577-8780.
