Obituary of William Edward Jaramillo, Sr
William “Bill” Jaramillo Sr. passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born January 1, 1942 to Levi and Cecilia (Rivas) Jaramillo in Globe, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife Lynette (Todd) Jaramillo. Bill had one brother and three sisters. He lived in Colorado, Globe, San Manuel, and eventually settled in Tucson, AZ. He attended San Manuel High School where he met his sweetheart and the love of his life, Lynette. They had a beautiful and loving marriage for nearly 60 years. Bill retired from Magma Copper Mine after a long career working as an electrician. Bill was Lynette’s greatest supporter when she co-founded Casa de la Luz Hospice. Bill is known for his love of family as the Jaramillo Family patriarch and his ability to teach “lessons in life.” He admired Arizona sunsets, his own wildflower gardens, and Mexican food. He is survived by his son William (Jennifer), daughter Dawna (Tom), son Todd (Shannon), and grandchildren Loren (Hayley), Leland (Kourtney), Courtney (Brandon), Blessing, Thomas (Tara), Geoffrey (Emily), Kyle (Breona), Kelly (Alex), and eleven great grandchildren. He was known as “Uncle Eddie” to several nieces and nephews. Family, friends, and others whose lives Bill touched are invited to celebrate his life at Catalina State Park - Bobcat Amphitheater on Saturday March 23, 2024 at 9:30 am.
