Obituary of Laurel Jean Winters

Laurie Winters, 78, passed away on January 25, 2024. Born on July 14, 1945, she grew up in Freeport, Ill., before eventually spending the last 50 years in Tucson.

Laurie was the cornerstone of her family and will always be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, as well as her unwavering love and dedication to her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana, and friend. Laurie is survived by her husband Bill, son Peter, daughter-in-law Sally, daughter Erin, and granddaughters Haley, Emma, Grace, and Sister Carolyn, all of Tucson. Also, sister Mary of Illinois.

A service will be held for her on March 9 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.

A memorial has been established for the St. Andrew’s Preschool in Laurie’s memory.
