Obituary of Levi David Jaramillo
Levi David Jaramillo was born in Silverton, Colorado January 14t,1936 though he lived most of his life in Tucson, AZ. As an avid ASU Sun Devil fan it’s only right to start this off with "No pity for the kitty!!!!" Known lovingly as Big David or Uncle Grouch to his countless (and i do mean countless) nieces and nephews, and to his grandchildren and great grand children as Tata, he embodied the meaning of family. Born to Levi E Jaramillo and Cecilia Rivas, he was the oldest of 5. Davids home was open, to anyone, with no questions asked other than "did you wash your hands?" the moment you walked into his house. He was just as quick to offer up a run for a dairy queen banana split as he was to tell you to put your hands in your pockets for arguing with your cousins, or in many of the kids cases, touching everything in the store. David was a pipe fitter , a veteran, a coach, a barber, an uncle, a brother , a father, and most importantly a man that loved and cared for the people that needed him. David is survived by the love of his life, his “Queenie” and center of his universe, Sophia Martinez Jaramillo and his pride and joys David and Victoria (Tim), along with four grandchildren, Sarah (Bryan), Kaci (Matt), Anthony, and Titus, and five great grandchildren, Jaide, Bowin, Olivia, Peytin, and Adeline, to which he would attend every graduation, baptism, wedding, and championship little league game, no matter the distance. He is preceded by his parents Levi and Cecilia, his sisters Anita and Yvonne and survived by William "Eddie" Jaramillo and Arlene Laguna, two people that he loved dearly. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you eat a big steaming bowl of menudo and hug your family and friends tight. We are all in this together!
