Frank Largen

Obituary of Frank Roger Largen

Frank Largen was born on September 10, 1955, in Fayetteville, TN.  He passed away December 12, 2023, in Tucson, AZ surrounded by family.  Frank lived his life to the very fullest, from riding his Harley cross-country to drawing amazing pictures of bikes and friends, playing guitar, knife making and even going to the salon with his wife to get pedicures.  To know Frank was to love him. There were two things you could guarantee when being around him, an abdominal workout from laughing so hard and an amazing sense of love and security.

Frank enlisted in the Marines in 1973 where he spent 4 years of his life and remained immensely proud of his service.  In 2014, while living in Upstate New York, Frank volunteered in the Marine Corp League for 3 years.   Frank graduated from the CAD Institute in Phoenix in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in architectural design and pursed that passion for the following 30 years of his life working in the architectural/engineering field while earning many impressive credentials.

In 1991, Frank married the absolute love of his life, Denise. They spent thirty-three years together exemplifying to everyone who saw them together what it looks like to find your soulmate. Together they played monumental roles in the lives of their nieces and nephews, and friends who became family over the years.

With the spirit of a true Marine, Frank fought his cancer diagnosis from 2008 until the very end.  He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.  Frank is survived by his wife, Denise Largen; sister, Lisa Largen; his nieces, Whitney Rebisz (Dave Rebisz), Elizabeth Lowe (Micah Lowe), Jen Snodgrass (Nic Kovacs); and nephew, Marvin Snodgrass (Vanessa Snodgrass), and several great nephews and great niece; along with extended family and friends.  Frank was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Betty and Michael Gaillard and father, Charles Largen.

Services will be held January 19th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, AVALON CHAPEL in Tucson, AZ.
