Obituary of Donna Kay Gudgel

Donna (Lawrence) Gudgel, 77, entered her eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2023 in Tucson, Arizona.

Donna was born in Corinth, Kentucky and was the youngest of nine children to the late Willie Lucas and Christol Acree Lawrence. She graduated with her B.A. in Christian Education from Cincinnati Bible College. She was a member of Pantano Christian Church in Tucson, Arizona, where she served on staff for several years and then continued as a faithful ministry volunteer.

Donna will be greatly missed but forever remembered by her devoted husband Dean Gudgel of 53 years; her daughter Valerie and son-in-law Shane McMahon; and her beloved grandchildren Matea, Tobias, Selah and Cylas.

She is preceded in death by her sisters Lilly Mae and Maxine, and brothers Alvin Lee, Alonso, and Charles Lawrence; as well as her son Bryce Gudgel. She is survived by her two brothers, Willie Dale and Harry Lawrence, and sister Joyce Elliott, as well as numerous nephews and nieces,and countless friends.

Donna loved nature, prayer walking, teaching the Bible, and missionary work, especially in India. She loved sacrificially, cared deeply, and served faithfully with a passion for connecting others to God and His church.
