John was my doctor for 26 years. He sent me a letter when he first got diagnosed, and it was heartbreaking. John was one of a kind an old type physician who knew all his patients and their families. When I lost my daughter at the age of 29 with the same disease that John had he called me late at night to give me his condolences. I will never forget that. My deepest condolences to his family, whom he loved dearly. May God‘s grace and mercy be with all of you. John will be truly missed!

My wife and I were both patients of John. What stands out among all other things was his attentiveness, sense of humor, and his tirelessness effort of helping you get better. We were deeply saddened that he had retired, and that we were no longer able to see and interact with him. This meant that we reluctantly had to look for another physician. We found out about his death in this morning‘s Sunday newspaper and his services were yesterday. Our sincere condolences go out to the family. Rest in peace, John.

My deepest condolences to his family . Dr.John Pellerito was one of the greatest Doctors I have worked for . I will forever be greatful for his friendship and everything he taught me about medicine and our discussions on sports . I will always remember most our conversations he'd say "that's just how we act when you're from Detroit. Lots of laughs working with you , rest easy Dr. You will always be remembered and missed

My big brother was a loving, caring, person. He didn’t have to say the words to know you were loved by him. He will be deeply missed. The long conversations on the phone, the long text messages analyzing every aspect of a Michigan football game, signing off with Cao, Red Dog. Go Blue! ❤️

I am so sad to hear that our dear doctor has left us. I extend my condolences to his loving family. There was no one like Dr. Pellerito. He opened his office again one evening for my brother who was very ill with blood clots, a doctor patient relationship that became a friendship for many years. He was a friend to everyone he met. The medical community will be at a loss now and the many friends he made along the way.
