Obituary of Anne Frances Roush

Anne Frances Lane Roush, 92, of Tucson, Arizona passed away peacefully, in the early morning hours of October 26, 2023. She is survived by her two daughters Mary Sibayan; Jenny Vacek; and two sons Frederick Roush, and Martin Roush; her grandchildren Feliza Bourquet, (Chris); Michael Sibayan (Kristin); Alexandra Roush (Anne's adopted daughter); Erika Nyquist (Gannon); Cassandra Bock, (Guru); twins Ryan Vacek and Martin Vacek; Chloe Runnels (Johnathan); Hannah Roush, Nayela Roush, and Teagan Roush; and her great-grandchildren Alana Bourquet, Kegan Bourquet; Anabel Sibayan, Mariano Sibayan; Neela Bock, Amita Bock; and Hayden Runnels. Anne is predeceased by her husband, Howard Roush; father, Lawrence Lane; mother, Frances Lane; sisters, Barbara Zimmerman, and Joan Gaugush; and daughter, Louise Roush. Anne is the daughter of Lawrence Lane and Frances Lane. She was born on November 20th 1930 in Carroll, Iowa. On August 6, 1955,

Anne married Howard Patrick Roush at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Tucson, Arizona. Anne and Howard lived an adventurous and wonderful life together, that included raising their five children in Alaska, Hawaii, and Arizona. As a young woman, Anne graduated as a Diploma Nurse from Mercy Hospital of Nursing in Des Moines, Iowa in 1951. Anne's curiosity and strong passion for knowledge did not stop there. In 1953, she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from Saint Louis University; and she pursued a Master of Social Work from the University of Hawaii, graduating in 1968. Anne's career in both Nursing and Psychiatric Social Work was always secondary to raising her family, and being a wife. Anne was a woman who was always "ahead of their time". Her family was blessed to have an intelligent, talented, witty, and very special Mother, Grandma, and Great-grandma, (also known as Grannie Annie). She will be missed by all of us. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at Adair Funeral Homes-Avalon Chapel, 8090 N Northern Avenue with Memorial & Trisagion Prayers beginning at 5:00PM.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 10:00AM at the Holy Resurrection Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 5910 E 5th Street, Tucson AZ 85711. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
