Robert Murphy

Obituary of Robert Frank Murphy

“What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose.  All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”  -Helen Keller.

Robert Frank Murphy, born August 16th, 1954 passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023 after a brave battle with bone cancer.  He joins his parents, William and Martha Murphy.

Bob spent most of his professional career in Sales and a few years in management at Ace Hardware.

Bob’s gentle and patient heart was loved so dearly by his wife Lucy.  He is the love of Lucy’s life and she considers herself blessed to have been married to her best friend.

Bob is survived by his three sisters Deanna (Gay) & Lou Gaz, Ann & Mike Herre, and Joellen (Jody) & Tom Reed, as well as his nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by many including Lucy's son- Andy, Lucy’s daughter, Jamie and son-in-law, Rodney, and their children-Katie, Nathan, Isaac, Sasha, and Sierra.

We will cherish many memories of time spent with Bob.  He will be remembered by his love of fishing, his skillful ability to fix anything and everything, his artistic talent in making miniature western buildings, and his interest in G-scale trains.  In his retirement he discovered the joy of selling on Ebay, and his Saturday treasure hunts with Lucy.

Please join us as we gather to celebrate all the ways in which Bob brought joy to our lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 1pm at the
