Obituary of Ingrid Hannelore Sellars

Ingrid Hannelore Sellars (nee Kreisel); born March 27, 1950 in Nurnberg, Germany; died September 12, 2023 in Tucson, Arizona.  She met her husband James, a career soldier, while he was stationed in Germany.  Ingrid emigrated to the United States in August of 1969 and married James on the 25th of August, 1969 in Warren, Michigan.  They were married for fifty-four years.

  In August of 1985 James retired from the military and they settled in Tucson.  Ingrid obtained a real estate license and worked for a time in sales and property management and then for the Arizona Daily Star as District Manager.

  Ingrid was an avid reader, puzzler, and enjoyed knitting, sewing, and quilting.  She joined a quilting group called Lucy's Ladies and, and all quilts were donated to various charities including The Ronald Mc Donald House.  She loved animals, particularly cats, and had a huge collection of turtles.

  Ingrid leaves behind her a loving husband, James, two sons, John and Bryan, one grandson, Sean, plus many friends.

  She was greatly loved and will sorely be missed by all who knew her.  May she find peace in Heaven.
