Obituary of James Fredrick Ingalls
James Fredrick Ingalls passed away September 3, 2023, at his home in Oro Valley, Arizona surrounded by his loving family. James was born on November 16, 1935, to George and Adeline Ingalls in Basin, Wyoming. Jim met Anita Williams and they married on October 30, 1959. They had 5 children: Bart (Jeanne) of Steamboat, Colorado, Darla of Denver, Colorado, Susan, Brett of Westminster, California, and Dodi (Casey) Campbell of Woodslanding, Wyoming. Jim and Anita lived most of their life in Basin before moving full time to Arizona for the last couple of years. Jim owned and operated Ingalls Plumbing and Heating and served the Basin area for 35 years. Jim was a talented athlete and avid hunter and fisherman. He loved camping, pack trips and boating trips with his family and friends. He was a little league coach, beekeeper, a member of the Basin Fire Department and loved to attend games at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Ingalls, four of his children and several nieces and nephews. His grandchildren Laura (Chris) Dresser, Greg (Meridian) Ingalls, Justin Gray, Katherine Ingalls, Derek Campbell, Jamie (Brett) Olin, Kari (Jake) Elliott and Cameron Campbell. He also has 7 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dorothy George and his infant daughter Susan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm October 20, 2023, in Basin at the Methodist Church, 201 6th Street, Basin, Wyoming 82410
