Obituary of Ida Louise Gartin

It is with great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude the family of Ida Louise Gartin announce the peaceful passing of our 5th generation Queen.

She was kind, brave, caring, strong, and generous her whole life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Born in Rochester, New York on October 1st 1932 Ida graduated high school which included studies at the Eastman School of Music.

Her first job was a stay-at-home mom, then a long span at Clearfield Pharmacy in Williamsville, New York.

Later in life, Ida worked at the United States Postal Service for 25 years as the Postmaster Relief in Wagon Mound, NM.

There she met and married James Gartin. They relocated to Tucson AZ in 2007 where they were managers of Paradise Village Community for several years.

After Jimmy passed she stayed in Tucson awhile longer then moved to Mesa, AZ to be closer to family.

She is preceded in death by: James Gartin (husband) Thomas and Jenny Randazzo (parents), Joseph Randazzo (brother), Samual Randazzo (brother), Louise Sorbello (sister), Rose Pecorella (sister), Jenny Castronova (sister) and Sarah Bellevia (sister), Shirley Garda (sister), and Daniel Hamrich (grandson).

Survived by: Daughter Sharon Jackson (Dana), Son Alfred Biondo (Linda), Daughter Jennifer Spencer (Josh), and Stepson Chain Gartin (Tammy).

Grandchildren: Andrew Garcia, Aaron Garcia (Sarah), Shauna Sanchez (Michael), Celeste Cronen, Benjamin Hamrich, Sarah Cruz, Shiane Gartin, Shelby Gartin and Sebastian Winter, and Gabriel Contreres.

Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many more loved ones.

Ida lived a simple, uncomplicated life. We hope that she is playing Skip-Bo in Heaven.
