Sam was indeed a very special person who was loved by everyone who knew him. The Nelson Family has so many memories and especially Sam stories. He was always quick to remind us to use our seat belts! Also, when on the phone with Sam he would ask about our current and recent cars. I'll always remember the trips to Austin, especially for weddings. He had so much fun dancing at Kristin & Xavier's wedding reception with a dear friend of mine. He will be greatly missed. I know in my heart he is with Patti,Grandma Lu & other family members who have gone on before. Heaven has a new angel and his name is Sam! Love you always!

Sam was an amazing guy who always made people laugh and smile, cause he was funny. My favorite thing to do with him was play sports and hike. We would talk about sports and things he wanted to do and would do over the weekend which was spending time with his dad and the trips he went on with his roommate Peter and his group home. They would go to Disneyland and just to different places. I knew him for 6 yrs through Blue Sky and I miss him so much. He was a great friend. He was like an older brother to me, since my older half brothers don't have anything to do with me. May he R.I.P. Rest In Paradise and see u soon buddy. Love u big brother. This isn't goodbye, this is a see u later and u are missed dearly but not forgotten

Dear Doug, Mary Lu, Jim, Ruth, William, Noah & Lucy,
John and I send our love, thoughts and prayers to you and your family at this time of sorrow.
I remember all the fun times and good memories we have with Sam and your family. Meeting at Maynard's and walking downtown, gatherings at Christmas time and many neighborhood events at the Samalayuca community center.
Your family is blessed to have shared many good times with Sam. May you continue to enjoy your family times together.
And congratulations on the arrival of a new member of your family. We're looking forward to meeting Lucy sometime soon.
Love, Joy & Peace,
Nancy & John

I worked with Sam at Beacon Group. He had such an exuberance about him. He loved my husband's truck and my little yellow Tiburon, insisted on having photos which I gladly gave him. He made a mark on many lives and will be remembered always. My condolences to his dad, Doug, sisters and family. I will always remember Sam.

Sam enjoyed meeting people & could remember everything about them. And loved having his picture taken. He was happy to see friends on Monday's at the Maynards walk, always getting us headed in the right direction. We will miss him.
