Obituary of Lynn Annette O'Hern
Lynn Annette O'Hern, our beloved wife, mother, Mema and aunt passed on August 4, 2023. She was 72. Her 25- year battle against disease, pain, and discomfort is over and she now rests in the arms of the Lord and with the host angels with whom she so rightly belongs. She was brave and resolute to the end, rarely complaining though she endured so much. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dave, her daughter Stefanie Schafer (Chris), stepson Jeff O'Hern (Melinda), stepdaughter Kari Finn (Dennis), and brother Ray Romans (Martha). She is predeceased by parents Ray and Rose Romans, sisters Michelle (Mickie) Romans, Jackie Martinez (Steve), brother Stephen, and stepson Chris O'Hern.. She is survived by eight grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Lynn Annette worked at several Tucson area school districts before earning her registered nurse degree and certification. Along the way she picked up an interest and talent for making bread dough Christmas ornaments which she sold at craft fairs. She was a regular exhibitor for 20 years at the winter 4th Avenue Street Fair and many craft shows in California, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Charlotte, NC.
She regularly said "It is so easy to make people happy." She lived the credo by her warm, welcoming smile and gentle, kind, encouraging words to all. She always saw the good in people. We are blessed to have had her in our lives.
Donations in her name can be made to Operation Smile or the American Red Cross.
