Obituary of Robert Machold

Robert “Bob” Edward Machold Sr, 93, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on July 6, 2023 after an accident. Bob was born on September 24, 1929 to parents Edward and Florence Machold in Richmond Hill, NY. After Bob graduated from Richmond high school in 1947 he went on to serve in the US Army. After his military service he went on to study at Hofstra University. After graduating with a degree in Business he started his career as director of wine division with Heublein. In 1953 he met his First wife Jean Harbeck.  Jean and Bob had 4 children: Robert Jr, Nancy, Lindsay, and Richard. In 1969 the family relocated to Arizona and owned and operated the Lazy K Bar guest ranch for many years. Bob married his Second wife, Carolyn Marie Crook, in 1981. Bob continued as a consultant for many more years and enjoyed traveling the world and many philanthropic activities. Bob is also survived by his sister, Florence Euler. 

A “Celebration of Life & Memorial Service” is planned for 11AM on July 29, 2023 at Adair Funeral Home 8090 N Northern Ave  Oro Valley, AZ 85704.  All are welcome. In his memory, donations can be made to the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery Foundation "savmcf.org"
