Obituary of George Edgar Downs

George Edgar Downs, 86, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on June 25, 2023.

George was born on July 3, 1936, in Lafayette,Indiana. George graduated from Tucson High School and was active on the track team there.

George began his work life as a lathe operator at Hughes Aircraft, and went on to become a registered professional engineer, working mostly in the mining industry throughout Arizona and in South America.

In 1959, he married Donna Crockett. Donna preceded George in death by less than a month.  George is survived by his son, Rick, and his brothers Jim and Tom.
