Obituary of Sylvia Ludine Rivera

 

SYLVIA LUDINE (RAINES) RIVERA peacefully left this world on April 26, 2023, at the age of 88 years old to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in his heavenly kingdom.

She was surrounded by her loved ones, her son, Damon Johnson, and daughter-in-law Marla Johnson, of Tucson Arizona.

Mrs. Rivera was born in Porterdale, GA. on February 19th of 1935 to the late Mr. Strawd S. Raines and Mrs. Maggie L. Rains. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Baughman of Erie PA., and her two granddaughters, Daniella Groves and Peggi Deberry.

She was a loving mother, daughter, and friend. She had such a giving soul.

She is survived by her six children, Scarlett Ginn of TX, and Amy Arguelles of IL. Richard Deberry of Tucson, Damon Johnson, and his wife Marla Johnson, of Tuscon AZ., Leon Curry of WY., Nancy Correa of IN.

Mrs. Rivera loved shopping at Target, her mountains, and most importantly, she loved going to church and praising the Lord.

She will be missed by her children, her grandchildren, and many, many friends.

And a special thanks to Agape Hospice Care for their love and support through this trying time of mourning.
