My grandmother and I have always had so much fun hanging out together, whether it was going shopping at Costco, going to the street fair, a casual doctor visit, or taking her out of town for a family vacations. It was my sincere honor to be my grandmother’s caretaker for all these years and I am proud that my mother, wife, and children got to spend so much priceless time with her.
She was very fond of trying new food, new restaurants, and I always did my best to please her with my cooking. My family and I have felt so very blessed to have had this wonderful woman in our lives for so many wonderful years, through good times and bad, she was always there for us, always supportive, and always provided the sage advice that you would expect from the matriarch of the family. She was my grandmother, the great grandmother to my children, and the lessons that she has taught me well last me a lifetime. The legacy that Delaine and my grandfather Dennis have wanted to leave, will live on, even after I am long gone. My children will never forget or take for granted all that they have gleaned from this wonderful couple that we lovingly know as the Tinsley’s.
Delaine Tinsley, we love you, miss you, and wish you a safe journey home. I hope you may reunite with your beloved ancestors and of course our family’s papa, your husband Dennis. Please rest well my grandmother. Please watch over us and hear our prayers when you can. I know wherever you are, there’s a bottomless glass of sweet white moscato wine, a brilliant red sunset in the distance, and nothing but love in your surroundings.
