Obituary of Alfred Creager Strachan

Alfred C. Strachan, 80, sadly left us on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Alfred was born on March 30, 1942 to parents Herman and Elma Strachan in Cumberland, Maryland. Alfred graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1960, and joined the Air Force. He served several years in the Middle East and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Alfred retired from the Amphitheater School District in 1996, after which he spent his time enjoying genealogy and working and landscaping the yards, which he took great pride in.

Alfred was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many callings. Alfred and his wife Linda worked in the Arizona Mesa Temple for 14 years.

Survived by his wife Linda of 42 years, son Mike (Janice), daughters Cynthia Strachan, Amanda Strachan and Sarah Strachan.

Stepchildren Tamra O'Brien, Pat Eggman (Cathy) and Edward O'Brien III (Kathy). 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. Brother George Strachan, Sisters Shirley Young, Mary Lohr, April Cauthers (Mark) and many nieces and nephews.

We will always love and miss you until we can meet again.

Services will be held on April 11, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 939 W Chapala Tucson, Arizona 85704. Viewing at 9:00 AM, Service from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Immediately following the service, the burial will be at VA Cemetery, 15950 N. Luckett Rd. Marana, Arizona at 12:00 PM.
