I am a friend of Vicki’s son Michael. I knew Vicki some through him. I remember when she found out I hadn’t learned to drive a stick shift car as a teenager. She pulled over and told me to get into the driver's seat. We cruised around town in her old blue hatchback, with me probably ruining her clutch. It was a classic example of her love of teaching and practicality. She always had a bright smile and encouraging remarks. She will be missed.
