Obituary of Kenton Allen Miller

Kenton Allen Miller was born in Ray, Arizona and spent the majority of his adult life in Tucson, AZ.

He blessed our lives from 02/17/1957 until Jesus welcomed him home on 03/06/2023.

Preceded in death by parents Donald and Beulah Miller. He is survived by his wife Marcia Ann Miller, married on 11/23/1990 in Tucson, Arizona. Also by his two children Benjamin Blaisdell and Katelyn Asvolinsque and his special friend Mattie (emotional support dog). In addition, by his two sisters Bonnie Muir, Donna Varela, and brother Keith Miller.

Ken was an incredibly devoted husband, father, and friend. Anyone who met Ken knows that his heart was filled with so much joy that he couldn’t help but smile and laugh wherever he went. His smile was contagious and will continue to lighten hearts through the stories and memories shared by his family and friends. In his working years, Ken dedicated himself to the craft of engineering. With unwavering loyalty Ken worked for Raytheon for 28 years. During his time there, Ken helped design, develop and utilize missile weapon systems for our country’s defense platforms. Although in many cases we could not know exactly what he was working on, we knew his work was changing the world, and we couldn’t have been more proud of him and the brilliant mind Christ blessed him with. From this career, Ken developed a beautiful patriotic spirit. He was proud to be an American and had such a respect for the history of this nation and those who fought for it. After his retirement, Ken became a full time dog dad two times over. He stayed busy taking Dixie and Mattie on multiple walks, feeding them treats, and giving them all the love and attention they deserved. They in return gave Ken all the snuggles and unconditional love any dog owner could hope for. Other than dogs, Ken had a passion for music! We would often find him jamming out to The Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, and The Beatles, and he would even sneak in a few dance moves. But Ken knew the most important music to fill his heart and mind with was that of praise and worship. He clung to his favorite worship songs so tightly because he knew that our purpose in life was to lift up our Creator and share the gospel with the world. Believing this, Ken became active in supporting the African Children’s Charity and Samaritan’s Purse. Heaven has welcomed home such a special soul and we know we will be reunited with Ken again. We will remember him by laughing daily and sharing a smile with all those we encounter.
