Obituary of Frank D. Linarez Jr.
Frank D. Linarez, Jr., passed away in the early hours of February 19, 2023, with his mother and family by his bedside. Frank was born in Tucson, Arizona, on December 7, 1954. He was a lifelong resident of Tucson, and his life's work proudly followed in the footsteps of his father, learning from him the mastery skills in carpentry and construction that formed the foundation for his career as a construction project supervisor.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank S. Linarez, Sr.; his sister, Rosalinda L. Federico (Jose); his aunts and uncles, Santiago, Eva, Felix, Helen, Tita, and Bertha.
Frank is survived by his mother, Beatrice F. Linarez; his children, Melissa and Samuel "Sammy"; sisters Carolyn and Christina (Henry), and brother Robert (Brenda); nieces and nephews Maria Christina (Spencer), Marcos (Angie), Michael (Mary), Sarah (Ryan), Andrea, Enrique, Nicholas, Christian; great-nieces and nephews Miranda (Joey), Xochitl, Erin (Stefan), Megan (Jordan), Trenton, and Mila; adopted nephew and niece Mark (Mayra) and Clarissa (Arnold). Also included are his many cousins and good friends.
With family, Frank was referred to as "Frankie". He was best known as an amusing individual who had a memorable, strong voice and loved joking around with friends and family. Frankie’s favorite hobbies included watercolor painting and pottery, ordering from Amazon, and socializing with strangers, but he most appreciated his time spent cooking with and eating his Mama’s delicious foods. Frankie will be dearly missed for all the happy memories he gave us and his "life lessons", which he enjoyed sharing with his nieces and nephews.
A rosary prayer and funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. at the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center on the University of Arizona campus, 1615 E. 2nd Street, Tucson, Arizona. All friends and family are invited to attend the memorial services and the "Celebration of Life".
