Obituary of Ray Clinton Tatge
Ray Clinton Tatge, born on September 11, 1958 in Koln, Germany to Helga and Leonard Tatge, died suddendly on January 31st, 2023 while on vacation. Ray is survived and deeply missed by his loving wife Lori, his two sons, Josh (Mari) Tatge, Sean Tatge, and his four grandaughters, Keeli Tatge (19), Alyssa and Lainey Tatge (16) and Saydee Tatge (13). Ray is also survived by his loving step father of 50 years, Louie Stroud and a brother John.
After moving back to the states from Germany, Ray's family settled in Tucson, AZ where he met his future wife Lori Martell. After they were married Ray and Lori visited Hawaii and decided to relocate to the Islands. While in Hawaii, Ray made lifelong friends and began his treasured hobbies of fishing and collecting ball cards.
Following 10 years of life in "paradise" Ray moved with his family to Oregon. Ray loved Oregon, his new job and enjoyed his time fishing and riding his quads. He often spoke that his fondest memories were made in Oregon. He then decided to start his own transport company that took them all over the country because it was a "family affair". After another 10 years they moved to Texas as it was best for the business but it was too far away from Tucson and his family. He missed his parents, his sons, daughter in laws and his granddaughters so they returned to Tucson once again.
Ray was a great son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Ray was a true American Patriot and he loved his country! He loved fishing! He loved his reunions! But most of all Ray loved his family. He will be truly missed.
