Obituary of Shannon D. LeJeune

Shannon D. LeJeune, age 70, passed away peacefully in her home on December 24, 2022. She was born on February 8, 1952, in Chicago, IL, to Edward and Eileen LeJeune.

Shannon graduated from Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame in 1974. Shannon's career was spent in development, which took her all over the country, where she always made many friends. Shannon's volunteer work was always so important to her. Whatever city she was living in, she could be found helping those around her. From volunteering for the 2002 Olympics in Utah to the National Cherry Festival and Film Festival in Traverse City, Michigan. Anyone who knew Shannon knew she loved books and movies. She loved starting book clubs and bringing people together. Shannon's wit, humor, stories, and laugh were infectious to all who knew her, she will be missed by all.

Shannon is survived by her siblings Brian, Terry, Maureen (Jack) Harty, and Kitty (Steve) Schechter. Sister in-law of Barb LeJeune and Bea LeJeune. A very loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Shannon is also survived by many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eileen LeJeune, sister; Sheila McGee, and brothers, Dennis LeJeune and Timothy LeJeune.

Shannon enjoyed celebrations and made the most of every holiday. It meant the world to her to spend that time with family and friends. Please come to the home of Kitty and Steve in Traverse City, Michigan on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at 2pm to celebrate Shannon's life.
