Obituary of Susan Anne Maddox

Susan Anne Maddox 79, a generous and loving mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully in her home on September 2, 2022 in Tucson Arizona. Susan was born June 23,1943 in York Pennsylvania to the late Mary Harmon and Joseph Sietz. She was raised by her beloved grandparents the late Clarence Wallick and Mildred Wallick.  She graduated from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania before her long career as a cherished schoolteacher in Hanover Public school district Pennsylvania where she worked until retirement. Susan truly loved to teach and over her long tenure she would positively effect many students lives and leave a lasting impression on the community.

She Married the one and only love of her life the late Joseph Maddox in February 1969. Susan was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Hanover Pennsylvania. One of her favorite things to do was watch old movies especially westerns with John Wayne.  She loved fashion and her favorite color was green.

 She is survived by her daughter Rosemary Lawyer and her husband Earl Lawyer Jr of Tucson Arizona, granddaughter Abbigail Gould and her husband Josh Gould and their son Jack of Southbridge Massachusetts, a sister Alida Carrol and her husband Richard Carrol of York Pennsylvania and sister in law Judith Saylor Allison of Linwood New Jersey. She also leaves behind Nieces and Nephews. She is proceeded in death by her late husband Joseph Maddox and grandson Earl Philip Lawyer III.
