Obituary of Beverley Verna

Beverley Verna, 81, a generous and loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 31, 2022 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in 1941 in Missouri, and lived there throughout much of her childhood, but also lived in Miami Florida, San Diego, California, and Phoenix, Arizona. She enjoyed growing up around a large extended family of many maternal and paternal aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins.  These family relationships, influences, and rich experiences helped her to become a very generous, kind, independent, fun, and ambitious person.  Beverley married early in life, at only 16, to her high school sweetheart, Fred Verna. They settled in California, raised a family, and she thrived in a highly successful career as a Real Estate Broker. However, motherhood was her first and most loved priority. They then retired to Tucson, where she has resided for 24 years.  Some of Beverley’s favorite things in life were spending time with her family and grandchildren, preparing for and celebrating Christmas, Italian food, fresh pineapple, the seashore, gardens, blue skies,  reading, dancing, and visiting new places. She loved to vacation with her family and create new memories together.  Beverley is survived by her husband Fred L. Verna, two sons, Fred (Tony) A. Verna, and Vincent Verna, a daughter, Kelly Parrin, five grandchildren, seven great grand children, a sister, Jackie Kidwell, and the newest addition to the family, and great, great grandchild, Beverley Rose. Although our darling and beautiful Beverley will be deeply missed, the sweet memories of her will keep shining brightly.  Her crystal blue eyes, lovely smile, warm hugs, sharp wit, caring kindness, courageous spirit, and incredible love, have  been branded on our hearts forever.  In loving memory of Beverley, “Smile and be kind to everyone you meet.”

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 8th, from 10:00am-12:00pm, 2022, at Adair Funeral Home in the Avalon Chapel 8090 N. Northern Avenue Tucson, Arizona 85704. The INTERMENT will follow directly thereafter at East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery located at 5801 East Grant Road Tucson, Arizona, 85712 at 1:30pm.
