Daniel Mulenga was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, and cousin. He was born on February 18, 1976, in Kitwe, Zambia, to Benjamin and Netty Mulenga. He attended Nkana Primary School, Kitwe Boys, David Kaunda and Mpelembe Secondary schools.

He was sent by then Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM) to attend Arizona University in Tucson, Arizona, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Mining Engineering in 2001.

After several stints in several places, Daniel returned to Tucson where he lived for the last decade until his untimely death on April 28, 2022.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Hilda Mwenya, Christopher, and Sarah. He leaves to cherish his memories his siblings in Zambia, Jonathan (Sarah), Susan (Francis), Benjamin, Priscilla and many relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Daniel Mulenga’s life will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Adair Chapel at 1050 N. Dodge Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85716, with his uncle the Rev. Dr. Maidstone Mulenga conducting the service. The service starts at 11 a.m. Arizona time.

Daniel Mulenga’s final resting place will be in his beloved hometown of Kitwe.
