Obituary of Betty Dobbs

Betty Dobbs, loving wife, wonderful mother and amazing woman went to heaven on April 8th, 2022 at the age of 97.

Betty was born on November 24, 1924 in Vincennes, Indiana to Albert and Nellie Sinnett.

She married James W. Dobbs of Vincennes in 1946 and they had seven children. They moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1957 for her health.

As a young woman she learned to fly and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol during WWII. Betty was a horsewoman, Red Cross instructor, rock hound, avid outdoors woman, lover of nature, card shark, world traveler and patriot.

Betty touched the lives of many people and was loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, James Werner Dobbs. She is survived by her daughters Ann Richwine(Green Valley, AZ), Jane White(Green Valley, AZ), Sarah Miller(Tucson, AZ), Peggy Converse(Tucson, AZ) and Teresa Unfug(Grand Junction, CO) and one son George Dobbs(Ramah, NM). She also leaves six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Adair Funeral Homes – Avalon Chapel with a Celebration of Life at Noon at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
