I first met Valerie when she came to see us in Detroit when Myani was 2. I fell in love with her from the start. She was definitely one of the sweetest people anyone could ever meet. Whenever we visited Tucson, she would make us feel so welcome and show us the best time while we were there. We texted each other every day. I continued to text her even when she was in the hospital because I believed she would pull through and could read them later. We always ended each text with “I love you”. She will be truly missed. Valerie was definitely one of the good ones. Rest In Peace my dear Val. I love you.
