Obituary of Claudia Virginia Marker
Claudia Virginia Marker went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on January 19, 2022. Born January 6, 1941 in Bristol, Rhode Island to Thomas and Isabel Velleca, she was the only girl and youngest of 4 children. When Claudia was 18, she and her parents relocated from Rhode Island to Phoenix, Arizona to pursue better health for her father. In Phoenix she met and married Paul Shallenberger and they had four children: Chip, Stacy, Linda, and Vernon. In 1998 Claudia met her current loving husband, Clay Marker, at a church service in Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Clay and Claudia moved to Flagstaff, AZ in 2005, and returned to Tucson, AZ in 2016 until present day. Claudia will always be remembered as exuberant, passionate, and full of life. She loved Jesus and had an unshakable faith. She loved her family and enjoyed reading the Bible, swimming, and taking care of her dog, cats and fish. She loved feeding people and providing a warm atmosphere for everyone to visit. She will be greatly missed but we are comforted in knowing we will reunite one day in Heaven.
