Mavis Lorraine Flanagan aka Mavis Williams

Mavis was born in Arlington, South Dakota on a farm and in the early years of school she rode her horse to a one room school house, upon getting older she ventured to nearby Brookings w/ her friends to watch movies since there were no theatres in Arlington. Always outgoing and popular she was a cheerleader in high school and loved to dance and flirt, eventually moving to Mitchell South Dakota to attend a secretarial school.
There she met and married K.J. ‘Pat’ Flanagan and they moved to Tucson, Arizona in the late 50’s and they started an insurance business and set down family roots. Mavis was active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and enjoyed working and staying active…she worked in Food Demo Company until she was in her 70’s.
She was a loving wife mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Joseph ‘Pat’ Flanagan and eldest daughter Patricia Kuhn.
She is survived by he daughter Lori Everhardt and son Greg Flanagan as well as granddaughter Megan Flanagan and grandson Ryne Flanagan.
