Timothy Lee

Obituary of Timothy Brian Lee

In Loving Memory of Timothy Brian Lee

Tim, aged 60, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 12:07AM Saturday, October 2, 2021.

He was an exceptional husband to Rebecca Lee, they shared 26 years of marriage.

Tim was born in Findlay, Ohio, to Ronald and Marilyn Lee, on June 24, 1961.

He attended Elmwood High School in Wayne, OH and grew up in Bloomdale, OH, participating in many shenanigans with brothers, cousins, and friends.

He served in the United States Navy from October 1984 to July 1990. He was at sea for nearly four of those years. He served on the USS Benjamin Franklin, and served during Desert Storm.  Tim was the ships radioman, camera man and diver. He loved serving on the subs and his service for his country was a fulfilled bucket list item.

He was a journeyman toolmaker and was excellent at what he did. Prior to moving to Tucson in 2000, Tim worked for Carbide Tool and Die, Potter Brumfield, and Toyota. He was employed at Raytheon for the last 21 years, and most recently was serving as a senior design engineer in mechanical fabrication as the shop lead. Tim’s refined skills were always accessible and easy to learn because of his personable nature. He loved what he did, he loved his group of guys, and they loved and respected him.

He was a member of Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene for over 21 years and served as camera man. He and Rebecca also served together in Blessed Grounds making coffee drinks, and served as ushers together. They also participated in mission trips together.

Tim loved the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed a good game of golf. He had a great sense of humor which will be sorely missed. His fun-loving nature was always on display.  He had quick one-liners and loved playing practical jokes on others.  He was a man of honor and integrity.  He loved his family well; and was a father figure and mentor to many. He leaves a strong legacy of love, faithfulness and impeccable work ethic.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, daughter Sadie Lee, and son Ethan Lee.  He is also survived by siblings David (Shelley) Lee of Cygnet, Ohio; Phil (Kelli) Lee of Deltona, Florida, and Darlene Johnston (Mark)of Findlay,Ohio .  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and extended family.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 15th at 10:00AM at Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene (500 W. Calle Concordia, Oro Valley, AZ). The service can be viewed at OVCN.CHURCH (click on Live Stream).

Lunch and fellowship to follow after the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene, designated for Mission Trips.  https://ovcn.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/676/responses/new
