My Dear friend, Jane Battaglia, introduced me to Iris a few years ago. Jane and she had traveled to Chandler to meet me for lunch at The Cheese Cake Factory. After a delightful lunch and wonderful conversation, we all went to the Basha's Art Collection Gallery. The three of us, felt like "old" friends, enjoying time together. I remember Iris as a warm and caring personality. She was a person who you could meet for the first time, and open her heart to you and find a connection. This is what I felt. I found out she was a woman of faith, like myself; and cherished the many ways she helped her church though volunteerism. Plus, her family and friends were a joy in her life. I found out from Jane, that Iris had married the man she had talked so highly about in our conversations. I sent Iris a congratulatory card. During the Christmas season, we exchanged Holiday cards with updated news of our lives. Iris was a beautiful person inside and out. She had the God given talent of surrounding you with her love light and caring ways. Yes, I only had the opportunity to be around Iris for a few hours; but, they were special. Not only was my cherished friend, Jane, with me, but I found a new friend in Iris. I am saddened; that I must write this Memorial tribute. It means that Iris has left us. But, as a woman of faith, I know that Iris is with God in heaven. She is in His hands; her light shines brightly! With Love to Iris, family and friends, Kay Daller-Spear Phoenix
