Obituary of Alice Merry Smedley

Alice Merry Smedley was called home by our Heavenly Father on August 14, 2021, leaving behind her loving daughters Alicia Smedley Warsco and Mariah Smedley Perry, son in-law Blaine Perry and her grandchildren Cody Perry, Nikolai Warsco, Wyatt Perry, Alia Warsco, Cheyenne Perry, and Samantha Perry.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Harold Bryant Smedley II, and their 2 sons Harald Bryant Smedley III and Vester William Smedley II.

She was an active member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church and worked as their food distribution center coordinator.

We mourn her loss but rejoice in her peace. Her memory will live on forever in those of us who were blessed by her presence in our lives. She was bigger than this world and faced many challenges yet no matter what adversity came her way, through her faith she always found her path. Her heart was full of empathy and the need to care for others, and she was committed to serving the community. We will forever miss her and the immense support she always had for her family and friends no matter what she was going through herself. Her love for us all does not go away with her passing, it just wrapped around us forever. Without her our world will never be the same, but we know she is in better place.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E University Blvd, September 25, 2021, at 3:00 pm with a reception to follow.
