My deepest condolences go out to Douglas-Cruz family and siblings. Doug shared his gifts n love with all who the lord sent in his path and I’m very thankful n blessed to have been one of them that the lord made possible to have crossed brother Doug’s path me n my daughter that has special needs. Doug was her bus driver in Fresno California. Doug’s gifts n love will grow as his love n gifts for the lord grew and I know he is celebrating his going home to his maker and seeing all his family that had left before him. They are all rejoicing of the arrival of there faithful servant brother Douglas-Cruz and I’m going to also celebrate brother Doug life and his work purposes he had on this earth to do for the lord which he did diligently and humbly and loving . I know that I and my daughter will greatly miss him but we have comfort in our hearts that he’s with his maker and celebrating his life and purpose that he was sent here to do fir the lord. I send all my prayers to brother Doug family n siblings that the lord will give you all his peace n comfort n love and know that Doug is always there with all of you in all your hearts n souls n he’s always going to be watching over all his family n daughter n wife debi as well. Brother Doug was a beautiful gem that carried the light of the lord in his smile n in all that he did n in his soul n he was a very faithful servant of the lord whose lamp flame never went and was very bright n lit for all to see n I thank the lord for brother Doug n I thank the lord that he put brother Doug into our path as well n he will always be a very special light that the lord had sent our way. He will be truly missed but never forgotten n this isn’t good bye brother Doug this is until we meet again in heaven brother Doug. I just wanted to thank brother Doug for his prayers for my well being when I was in the hospital n for my daughters prayers as well I thank you brother Doug for you are truly a wonderful blessed man of the lords and I know that the lord is so very proud of you for all your work n gifts n love you have done to n for others in the father’s name . Well brother Doug I n tristina will truly miss you but we are rejoicing with you n celebrating your life because you are home brother Doug you are home n I know that you are celebrating your life with all your loved ones that had processed you in going home but now brother Doug it’s time to celebrate your life going home with the lord . You will always be remembered as a very special person who gave himself to all those who needed him all for the work of the lord your maker and I’m very fortunate n blessed to have been one if those individuals brother Doug I thank you from the bottom of my heart to have had the lord put me n my daughter in your path. Until we meet again in heaven brother Doug.

After knowing Doug for over 40 years, I think about how he was always there for me. He was a true example of a man of God, leading by example, and demonstrating love and compassion for others. I feel very blessed that I could call him friend, but I usually referred to him as my brother. While I shed my tears, I know Heaven was rejoicing, because Douglas Cruz finally arrived. I will miss his smile, his laugh, and his spiritual guidance.

Pastor Doug, who was always smiling, is what I will always remember you by, you will be greatly missed by me & louie and our kids. Hi Doug, I am going to miss you greatly. When you accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, I was the first family member you told. You were so excited to share what Jesus had done for you, but you didn't have the right words, so you gave me a tract. I was convicted and accepted the Lord that night. We had already been hanging out but now we were inseparable as we started going to church and learning more about Jesus. You have been my big brother that protected me and shared with me. I was so happy for you when you got married to Debi. Having Melissa was the creme de la Creme. I moved to Arizona to be closer to you.
You retired and moved to Arizona. I am going to miss visiting you and you visiting me. Rest in Peace. Give Papi, Mami, Carmen, Santos, and Zulma a big hug from me.
