Karen had so many attributes that contributed to her being a truly one of a kind woman. Karen tolerated working at Old Tucson with my husband, Roger, for almost 15 years, only because he was a life long fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Otherwise, Karen most likely wanted to slap the s**t out of Roger for being such an annoying pain in her butt. Since Karen was part of Old Tucson's Human Resources during many of those years, I'm sure it took all of Karen's professionalism and self-restraint to stay in control. Karen generously volunteered to accompany me (Geri) and Roger to my first oncology appointment following my positive breast cancer diagnosis in March 2017. Knowing some about Karen's own cancer diagnosis, we had previously talked in only positive, prayerful and successful terms. As much as we tried to focus on Karen after my diagnosis, Karen always seemed to encourage and support me more than I felt I ever did for her. Heaven is blessed to welcome Karen and we are blessed that God and Jeremy shared Karen with us for so many years. Go Buckeyes.
