Obituary of Kenneth Byrnes

Ken Byrnes passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2021 in the presence of his loved ones. Ken was one of the biggest New York Yankees & New York Giants fan ever, 

born and raised in the Bronx in 1936. Ken moved to Tucson in 1955 to attend the University of Arizona to pursue his education. After receiving his BA in Music,  Ken made Tucson his home along with his parents Annette and Abraham Bernstein. Ken spent time in the movie industry and was passionate about photography. 

Ken’s passion for music was a huge part of his life and he wrote many love songs for the love of his life, Una. 

Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years Una and dearly loved children and their families: Lisa (Morris) Reyna , Joel Byrnes, Lori (Tito) Castro, along with granddaughters Tiana McDaniel, Natalie Reyna, Alexis Byrnes, Madison Byrnes & Taylor Byrnes.

He also leaves behind brother Robert Bernstein and the entire Bernstein family in Indianapolis & California. 

As well as many extended family members through relationships of his children, grandchildren, loved ones and an amazing circle of friends cherished in his life.

Celebration of Remembrance will be held on Thursday July 29th at 10:00am at East Lawn Mortuary - 5801 E Grant Rd Tucson, AZ 85712.

Reception to follow at Tucson Women’s Club 6245 E. Bellevue St. Tucson, AZ 85712.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tucson Women’s Club.
