Obituary of Gaye Hiller Jacobsen

Gaye Hiller Jacobsen, 81, of Tucson, Arizona died on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. She was born in Alexandria, Virginia on October 17, 1939, the daughter of the late Frederick T. Hiller and Dorothy Simpson. Gaye graduated from Nahunta High School Class of 1957 and received her bachelor's degree in Education from The University of Georgia. Gaye was employed by the Cobb County School system for over 30 years as a special education teacher. She was adored by her students and faculty at Wills High School and loved teaching her special needs children. Gaye was preceded in death by her husband Tom Jacobsen, brother Fred Hiller, and brother Art Hiller. Gaye is survived by her brother Robert David Hiller Sr.(Dianne Hiller), niece Mary Ann Hammond (Mark Hammond), nephews David Hiller Jr. (Kelly Hiller), Patrick Hiller (Candace Hiller), and Billy Culbreth (Tracy Culbreth), along with many grand nieces and nephews. Gaye was loved by so many friends and neighbors who were very dear to her! We love you Aunt Gaye and you will be missed! A funeral and burial service will be planned at a later date at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA.
